Creative-Cables lights up the Ciel Rooftop in Marseille’s co-living oasis

The Babel Community was inaugurated in 2017 as the first French co-living residence, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a place where groups come together to share their stories and life goals, and where people go to unwind, work or take advantage of the on-site sports facilities.

Bordeaux, Grenoble, Montpellier, Paris... These cities are among the many currently incorporating these communal spaces that blend living, co-working, and a diverse range of facilities and activities. Among them is Ciel Rooftop, an authentic Italian restaurant nestled within the terrace of the Marseille Vieux-Port residence. Positioned on the seventh floor, it offers one of the most picturesque sunset views in the city.

And if your aperitivo slowly turns into a dinner as the dusky sky fills with stars, you can always rely on Creative-Cables to light up your evening.

The project hatched from the need to rethink the illumination for the terrace’s outdoor dining area, starting from a simple and reliable product capable of enduring rain and bad weather. A wired, versatile product that allows for complete customisation of your lighting arrangement.

Over 100 metres of white outdoor fabric cable were used to link the 65 lamp holders, which on top of seamlessly blending with the string lights also added timeless elegance to the project. Lastly, the composition was completed by some LED Globe G95 light bulbs with curved double loop filament, which provide the warm, natural lighting sought by the client.
