And ALL of our cloth covered electrical wire is made in our family-owned Italian factory by artisans who take pride in their work and have been working with fabric braiding for decades.
The coarse texture of the linen and the softness of the cotton in our Natural & Pink Linen Stripe (RD61) fabric cable make for a perfect pair.
This unique combination combines refined and rustic design elements into one beautiful cord.
All of our cloth covered lamp wire color cord is available for sale by "By the Foot", so order as much or as little as you need.
Inside our cables are three individually PVC wrapped copper wires (positive, negative and ground) that are double insulated by another flexible PVC housing and then covered in our premium fabric. Our wire is fully (SVT-B) UL Listed. All of our wires are rated for 300V and can carry a weight load of 7.7 pounds. If you are working an a lighting project that only needs a 2-conductor cord all you need to do is just clip the green (ground) wire leaving only the black (positive) wire and white (negative) wire.
It's best to order an extra 1-2 feet more cloth covered wire than you think you need for your project or light fixture to take account for any cuts and stripping of wires (or mistakes). Remember to always consult a licensed electrician if you have questions.
**IMPORTANT: Due to UL regulations we cannot accept returns for cut-to-order wire, only full 150' spools of unopened wire may be returned. Again, this is required by UL regulations. Be sure to confirm that all colors and length of wire before ordering.**
