Paola Navone and the Otto Studio team’s boundless creativity were essential to the project which turned the stately “Monte de’ Pegni” - an historical Loans Company for the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze (Florence Savings Bank) - in a series of remarkable settings based on the Divine Comedy. According to Chris Hoffman, founder of the 25hours hotels, what makes this chain so impressive is the selection of different themes for each new hotel. So when the time had come to open a hotel in Florence, it seemed only natural for the theme to express the poetic dichotomy between Heaven and Hell portrayed by Dante. The project covered over 170 rooms and common areas, for a surface area of 10.750 metres. Creative-Cables helped embellish two colourful, Hell-themed common areas.
Metres and metres of fiery RM09 Red Creative-Tubes twisting and turning along the stairwell, adorning it like a glowing sculpture. This Creative-Cables system brings together the unique decor of fabric lining and the practicality of exposed electrical installations.
Another great use of our Creative-Tubes can be found in the waiting area near the lifts… look up to find an impressive exposed installation! We decided to ditch the usual plastic conduits and the stiff metal tubes in favour of striking red Creative-Tubes patterns, to create a fun contrast with the cement ceiling, the metal connectors and porcelain-effect light bulbs. Roses, junction boxes, cable clips: an installation where elegance meets functional.
